
Max Bloom is Executive Director, Insights & Growth at KQED, where he leads work across market research, UX research, analytics, new revenue initiatives, applied AI, licensing, corporate development and special projects. KQED is a major public media organization based in San Francisco, part of the NPR and PBS networks. It produces news, radio, television and digital content, with a strong focus on local journalism.
Previously, Bloom was KQED’s Director of Audience Insights and Intelligence, hired to rebuild the organisation’s research function and develop a modern analytics capability. He has also held strategy and insights roles at Known and Pacific Consulting Group, leading major research programmes for clients including Accenture, Google, Meta, Amazon and Microsoft.
Bloom also serves on the Investment Committee of the Glen Nelson Center’s Horizon Fund, which invests in early-stage media ventures, and is an advisor to Future Tilt.
