Paul Adepoju

Paul Adepoju joined the ICFJ as a Forum Manager to help fellow journalists hone heath crisis reporting skills. He is a contributing reporter, academic, and author. He covers health and tech in Africa for leading local and international media outlets including CNN, Quartz, and The Guardian. He’s also the founder of healthnews.africa. He is completing a doctorate in cell biology and genetics and holds several reporting awards in health and tech.

He’s also an award-winning Community Manager for the ICFJ Pamela Howard Forum on Global Crisis Reporting where he is helping to equip journalists with the expertise to provide meaningful coverage of critical global issues of local importance. At the recently held UN Climate Change Conference UK 2021 (COP26) that he attended as Climate Tracker’s COP26 Fellow, Paul hosted a live webinar for the International Center for Journalists that enlightened journalists from across the world on the developments and issues that are of global and local importance, in addition to guiding journalists on how to cover similar conferences and the climate crisis in general.
