Alok Sanwal is a media professional with over thirty-one years of work experience in the fields of Media & Entertainment, Brand Management, and Business Management. He is a Communication Post-graduate from MICA & an Engineering Graduate from BITS, Pilani.

He has worked for Thermax Ltd. as Water Treatment Engineer, for Jagran Prakashan Ltd. as GM-brand development, for WPP as head of investments for its group agencies in North & East India. Since September 2006, he is working with Jagran Prakashan Limited as CEO of one of its newspapers for Youth Dainik Jagran-inext.

Since 2024, He also heads, MidDay Studios; a business vertical of Jagran Group; which is into production of Feature Films, Web-series and Documentaries. MidDay Studios focuses on unearthing rooted, socially resonant, and real-life heartland narratives. He is member of Governing Council & steering committee of MESC (Media and Entertainment Skill Council) which works for Skill Development Ministry of Govt. Of India for Media and Entertainment industry.

His academic interests have resulted in his being a Guest Faculty at Institutes like IIMs, IITs MICA, FORE & MDI. Alok has been a trainer for marketing teams of media houses such as Mathrubhoomi, Malayala Manorama, ABP & HT Media & consultant for some publication groups.
