Dr. Ana Moya

Lead, WAN-IFRA Data Science Expert Group

(ex. FUNKE and Handelsblatt, current ISM and Infomotion, Germany)

Dr. Ana Moya spent 12 years at Funke Media Group, holding several data leadership roles, including Director of Data Science & Marketing Analytics. She later joined Handelsblatt Media Group, where she worked for three years as Head of Data Science & Analytics. In both media groups, she led and implemented data- and AI-driven initiatives among others to optimize audience engagement, retention, and subscription growth.

She currently works at INFOMOTION as a Data Scientist, leading and delivering Data and AI projects across a wide range of industries. In addition, Dr. Moya is an Honorary Professor of Business Intelligence & Data Science at the International School of Management (ISM).

Despite now working with clients across diverse industries, her connection to the media and editorial world remains strong through research with her students in this field, authorship of the Media Intelligence column in DNV,  where she delivers hands-on insights into data strategy, analytics methodologies, and real-world AI use cases for media and distribution organizations and her role as the lead of the WAN-IFRA Data Science Expert Group.
