Andrea Tan is the Asia-Pacific team leader for Daybreak, Bloomberg’s flagship morning news product. She was previously a market structure and regulatory reporter covering the inner workings of exchanges and financial shenanigans such as the 1MDB scandal.

In over two decades as a journalist, with Bloomberg and Business Times previously, she has covered law, technology, real estate and financial trading. Her work has appeared in numerous publications, including The Washington Post, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Economic Times of India. She’s a graduate of Nanyang Technological University, and holds a Master’s Degree from Singapore Management University.
