Angus Macaulay is the Chief Operating Officer at STAT, overseeing all business operations, including sales, marketing and audience development, product and finance. Angus’s work at STAT began before the launch as one of the co-authors of the market assessment for the owners to determine the market opportunity and viability of the idea. Angus then joined STAT in April 2015 to build out the team, in advance of the launch in November 2015. Before joining STAT, he spent two decades at leading media companies in New York including Hearst, Time Inc., and health and wellness publisher Rodale. Most recently Angus was at Pace, a content marketing agency, where he helped clients develop branded content strategies and programs, leading client management for The Boston Consulting Group and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. He and his family relocated from Brooklyn for the launch of STAT and, as Massachusetts natives, are enjoying being back home. In his free time, Angus enjoys cycling and competitive sailing, and is a passionate fan of the Patriots, Celtics, Red Sox, and the Tour de France.
