He has reported for India Today and Aaj Tak from almost every Indian state and abroad.
He and his crack team of fact-checkers are not just responsible for tracking and combatting disinformation on social media but also serve as robust filters for the news desk to ensure misleading viral content is spotted and spiked before it slips into the news cycle. He also serves as an in-house trainer on verification techniques and how to leverage technology for editorial operations.
Bal Krishna has trained with several international experts and has been certified by renowned organisations like Intel Techniques, GIJN, Google News Initiative, and the Digital Forensic Research Lab. He keenly follows the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence, especially generative AI and deepfakes. He loves experimenting with new forensic tools and figuring out novel ways to integrate AI and verification.
