Benjamin Knödler

Benjamin Knödler works for the weekly newspaper „der Freitag“ in Berlin. As “Product Owner Digital” he is responsible for further developing the digital product and transforming a print newspaper into a digital publication. This includes conceptualizing and implementing new formats, such as newsletters and podcasts, as well as developing new features for users and the editorial team, and addressing long-term strategic issues. He also focuses a lot on the role AI can and should play in a newsroom.
 
Knödler began his career as an online editor and still moves between worlds today to experience the digital transformation from as many perspectives as possible. Thus, in addition to his work in digital product development, he continues to work as a journalist and author.
