
Charo Henríquez is a Puerto Rican journalist whose work sits at the intersection of journalism and technology. Throughout her career, she has focused on driving innovation in news organizations, leading editorial strategy, and fostering cultural transformation in newsrooms.
She is currently Deputy Editor for Editorial Strategy and Operations at The New York Times’ Washington bureau. Charo also serves on the Board of Directors of the Online News Association (ONA) and on the Advisory Board of the Spanish-Language Journalism Program at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York (CUNY).
In 2021, she completed the prestigious Sulzberger Executive Leadership Program at Columbia University. She holds a degree in Journalism from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón and a law degree from the University of Puerto Rico.
