
Chibuike Alagboso is the Director of Media Programmes at Nigeria Health Watch, a leading health communication and advocacy organisation working to transform Nigeria’s health system. He oversees editorial, production, and communications strategy, driving multi-platform content that shapes health policy discourse across Nigeria and beyond.
With over a decade of experience at the intersection of media, health, and development, Chibuike has worked with Nigerian, African, and global media organisations and journalists to strengthen health and development reporting. He led the five-year implementation of the Solutions Journalism Africa Initiative in Nigeria, building a network of journalists, editors, and media leaders and embedding solutions-focused practice in newsrooms across the country. He also oversees Nigeria Health Watch’s cross-learning efforts, expanding the organisation’s policy advocacy footprint across Africa.
Chibuike served as a mentor and grant jury member for the European Journalism Centre’s Solutions Journalism Accelerator, One World Media UK, and Journalism Fund Europe. Chibuike holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Journalism Innovation and Leadership from the University of Lancashire (formerly UCLan) and has participated in the CUNY Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism’s AI Adoption programme. He is particularly interested in how AI and emerging technology can transform editorial workflows, content strategy, and knowledge systems within non-profit media organisations.
