Gastón Roitberg

Subscriber Experience Lead, La Nación, Argentina

He is 52 years old and was born in Puerto Madryn, in Argentine Patagonia. He has been working in journalism since 1991. He worked as a reporter, writer, and editor at Perfil Libros, Editorial Perfil, and the newspaper Perfil (1996–2000). He served as Content Manager at America Online Argentina (AOL) from 2000 to 2005. At LA NACION, he held several positions, including Head of Commercial Content (2005–2006), Digital Content Manager (2007–2009), and Managing Editor in charge of the Breaking News team (2009–2021). He currently leads the “Subscriber Experience” project and is a professor in the Master’s Degree in Journalism at LA NACION and Torcuato Di Tella University. He is also part of the AI Core team and participates in training programs for numerous organizations in the media industry. He holds a degree in Communication Sciences (UBA) and a specialization in Planning Journalistic Activity (UBA), as well as a postgraduate degree in Digital Business (UdeSA). He is the co-author of two books: New Challenges in Journalism (Ariel-Adepa, 2014, with Daniel Dessein) and Disruptive Journalism (La Crujía, 2015, with Franco Piccato). He also writes the interview series “Media & Trends” for LA NACION.
