Journalist, editor of elDiario.es magazine and former deputy director and opinion chief of the newspaper. He is president of the PorCausa Foundation for social research and journalism on migration. He was responsible for the digital transformation of El País, previously founder and director of soitu.es, and shortly before that, director of elmundo.es. He is a Fellow of the Gabo Foundation, founded by Gabriel García Márquez.
