Gurman Bhatia is the Founder and Director of Revisual Labs, India’s first information design agency dedicated to helping organisations communicate complex data through compelling visual storytelling.

With over a decade of experience in journalism, data visualisation, and information design, Gurman has worked with leading news organisations including Reuters, Hindustan Times, Palm Beach Post, and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Since becoming an independent consultant in 2021, she has trained more than 1,500 journalists, researchers, and communication professionals in data journalism and visualisation.

In 2023, she founded Revisual Labs, bringing together designers, developers, and storytellers to create impactful, data-driven communication solutions for newsrooms, think tanks, and non-profit organisations.

A self-taught coder and designer, Gurman holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from Columbia University, New York. Her work has received international recognition, including awards from the Online News Association, Malofiej Infographic Summit, The Webby Awards, Society for News Design (SND), and the Global Editors Network (GEN) Data Journalism Awards.
