Horiuchi Takashi is the Deputy Director of the Universal News Hub, overseeing operations of the Asahi Shimbun Digital Edition and serves as a key member of the team driving digital transformation of the Asahi’s newsroom. He has joined The Asahi in 1994 and has 30 years of experience in the media industry, mostly as a staff writer. Spent 10 years in international reporting at the Asahi, serving as a foreign correspondent in Jerusalem and Los Angeles. His career includes founding Editor-in-Chief of The Asahi Shimbun GLOBE+, a web media covering global issues.
