She made her mark in the tech and media space early on, playing a key role at Pulse News, a news aggregator startup acquired by LinkedIn in 2013. At LinkedIn, Jessica Chan spent nearly nine years building and leading content partner programs, forging strategic relationships and major deals with leading publishers. Chan later moved to Meta, where she focused on brand and developer partnerships for messaging products. Joining Perplexity in September 2024, Jessica became the company’s first head of publisher partnerships, overseeing and expanding its innovative revenue-share program with news media organizations worldwide. As the sole leader running this program, she has signed top publishers like Time, Fortune, Los Angeles Times, Der Spiegel, and many more. Her work includes negotiating deals, building new business relationships, and ensuring publishers benefit from Perplexity’s AI-powered search engine platform through ad revenue, analytics, and API access
