Co-Founder and Managing Director of Vorágine. He holds a degree in Social Communication and Journalism from the University of Antioquia and a Master’s Degree in Literary Creation from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. He was Nation Editor at Semana magazine, General Editor of Semana.com, and Investigative Editor at El Colombiano. He was the winner of the King of Spain International Journalism Award (2010) and received the Excellence in Journalism Award from the Inter American Press Association (IAPA) on two occasions (2020 and 2024). He has also been recognized seven times with the Simón Bolívar National Journalism Award, including the Journalist of the Year category in 2025. He received the Fetisov Journalism Award in 2021 as part of a collaborative work. He has also been a finalist twice for the Gabo Award (2019 and 2025). He is the author of several non-fiction books, including La viuda negra, which was adapted for television by RTI and Televisa.
