Juliana Castro Varón is the Senior Design Editor at the Artificial Intelligence Initiatives team at The New York Times. Founder of the bilingual open-access publishing house Cita Press, Juliana has been a fellow at Fulbright, Harvard University, and the Mellon Foundation. Papel sensible, her first book of essays, was published by Planeta in 2022. Juliana also contributes cartoons to The New Yorker magazine.
