An award-winning Filipino journalist and columnist, Ichu built her career reporting for The Economic Monitor and The Times Journal, before going on to serve as a senior reporter and columnist at The Manila Standard. A scholar in Applied Economics from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, she has received multiple Rotary Club of Manila Journalism Awards and other media honors in recognition of her work.
Beyond print, she maintains a strong multi-platform presence, regularly engaging audiences through television and across social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, X, and Threads. She also serves as a judge and trainer in national journalism competitions and mentoring programmes, contributing actively to the development of the next generation of media professionals.
