Mark Stencel is co-director of the Duke Reporters’ Lab, a research center that develops fact-checking tools to counter misinformation around the world. He also was executive director of JournalList, the nonprofit that oversees the trust.txt media transparency framework. He previously worked at NPR, Congressional Quarterly and The Washington Post.
