Mary-Katharine Phillips is the associate director of engagement for Dow Jones/The Wall Street Journal. She leads a team responsible for driving product adoption amongst WSJ subscribers through experimentation and optimising in-life journeys. Prior to joining Dow Jones, she worked as a media innovation analyst for a technology start up in Belgium. There she focused her research on habit formation with news products and worked with publishers globally to understand the challenges they were facing. As part of her work, she published a weekly newsletter on the future of news. She has a bachelor’s in international affairs from Vesalius College (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and a master’s in economics from KU Leuven in Belgium.
