Dr. Michael Tillian is at present managing director of Austria’s leading publishing house „MediaPrint“ as well as the „Krone Verlag“, editing „Kronen Zeitung“, Austria’s most read daily newspaper. Before joining MediaPrint he was CEO of „Freie Presse Mediengruppe“ in Saxony/Germany. For the last 20 years Tillian worked as an entrepreneur, lawyer, consultant and managing director for prestigious media groups in Austria and Germany. He has played a central role in the digitalization and restructuring of publishing houses and has broad experience in M&A, investment management and business development.

Dr. Tillian has shown competence and valued leadership skills in transforming the editorial process of large regional and local newspapers. He was educated at Innsbruck University/Austria and Saarbrücken University/Germany and holds a (PhD) degree in Law.
