Pratap Govindrao Pawar is the Chairman and Managing Director of Sakal Papers Pvt. Ltd. and a prominent Indian industrialist. A former President of MCCIA, the Indian Newspaper Society (INS), and the Indian Language Newspapers Association, he has also served on the Executive Committee of WAN-IFRA and the Press Council of India. In recognition of his leadership in trade, industry, and media, the Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri in 2014, followed by the Punyabhushan Award in 2015.
