
Queen Mosarwe is the co-founder, editor and journalist of The Argus Online. She has experience in print media, digital and broadcasting media. She has worked as an editor, senior journalist, copywriter, supplements editorial coordinator and rose to higher ranks within the newsroom where she became acting deputy editor, acting editor and editor.
She has over 15 years of experience in the media industry, radio producing and presenting and reporting investigative stories, education, political stories, and human-interest stories. Queen is passionate about gender equality advocacy, the need for women in positions of decision-making, women’s representation in politics, as well as raising awareness on the gender agenda.
With the media industry predominantly led by men, Queen is one of the few women who owns a media house in Botswana. She is the former Secretary of the Media Institute of Southern Africa (Botswana Chapter) board. Queen is passionate about media freedom, advocacy, and training. She is an alumnus of the WITS Women in News programme and former Secretary for Gender of Botswana Media and Allied Workers Union.
