Raoul Grünthal

Raoul Grünthal founded the investment company RG Media in 2022 after 15 years with Schibsted where he held several leading positions, including CEO of Svenska Dagbladet, CEO of Schibsted Sverige and Head of Schibsted’s News Media division.  As EVP for the Next business area, he has led the Group’s ambitious investments in financial services and Schibsted’s growing distribution and ventures business, where he has been involved in a series of startup investments. Raoul Grünthal started the magazine LISA as a 16-year-old. Initially a Swedish school newspaper at the Lycée International in St Germain-en-Laye in Paris, the publication quickly developed into a newspaper for other Swedes living in Paris. He started his professional journalistic career at Dagens Nyheter and Veckans Affärer . In 1989 , Grünthal helped found Finanstidningen for which he became editor-in-chief at 23. For a few years until 2003, he was head of analysis at JP Nordiska . In 2003, Grünthal was appointed CEO and editor-in-chief at Tidningarnas Telegrambyrå (TT). In 2006, he joined Svenska Dagbladet as CEO and became CEO of Schibsted Sweden in 2009.
