Dr. Rick Stunt holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UEA. Upon leaving University he joined 3M as Senior Research Scientist. In 1987 Rick then left to join the newsprint Industry. He has worked for Press Papers then SCA as Technical Manager then joined Haindl Papier in Germany in 1990 working in Technical, Product Development (SC-B grades) and latterly Sales. He then joined Associated Newspapers in 1994 as Group Paper Director. Rick was appointed to the Group Production Board in 2001. His responsibilities include all graphic paper, printing plates and ink procurement for the Group. Rick has held and holds several Industry positions. He has been Chair of the UK National Newspapers Industry Materials Committee (NIMC) for 20 years, Chair of WAN-IFRA’s Materials Committee from 1999-2017, Chairman of the WAN-IFRA Printer’s Forum Board 2017-19, WAN-IFRA Main Board member 2017-2020, Chair of the European Newsprint and Environment Committee for ENPA 2002-2017, Is current Chair of the European Materials Working Group NME. Rick is also an Executive Director on the Board of Two Sides, the anti-greenwashing  for the Paper and Printing Industry.
