Sebenzile Nkambule works with the Media Development Investment Fund (MDIF), supporting independent news and information companies with financing and technical assistance. An experienced journalist, strategic communications expert and media development practitioner, she previously led a regional organisation for investigative journalism in Southern Africa and held senior roles in the human rights sector. She was awarded the Fulbright Humphrey Fellowship, specialising in digital storytelling and strategic communications at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School. Sebenzile holds a BA in Journalism (International Relations) and postgraduate degrees in Gender Studies from the University of Pretoria.
