Shital Pawar is an Executive Editor at Sakal Media Group, Pune. An engineer by training and a media researcher by passion, she brings a unique combination of technology, social research, journalism, and media expertise to her work. She holds a degree in Computer Engineering, a postgraduate degree in Community Organisation and Development Practice from TISS Mumbai, and a Master’s in Journalism & Mass Communication.

Before entering media, she worked as a social researcher across India, focusing on rural development, climate change, and urbanisation. At Sakal Media Group, she combines her research background with her journalism expertise, using a data-driven perspective to explore evolving digital trends, changing audience behaviour, and the future of news media.
