A prominent figure in the journalism industry, William Chikoto has a career of over 36 years as a reporter, editor and media strategist. He is the Group Editorial Executive of Zimpapers, Zimbabwe’s largest integrated media company that owns 11 newspapers, four radio stations and a television station. He was the editor of some of the country’s most prestigious newspapers, such as The Sunday Mail for eight years and The Herald for three and a half years. He has extensive experience and expertise in editorial leadership and newsroom management. He is currently spearheading the media company’s partnership with the Innovation Media Consulting Group to transform the newsroom and diversify the digital revenue streams. The project aims to create a platform agnostic newsroom for the group as it adopts a digital first strategy.
