Yvonne Mooka is a multi-award winning Social Justice journalist from Botswana. She has been in the media for close to 15 years now.

She worked for Botswana Guardian and The Midweek Sun newspapers from 2010 until 2020 when she decided to spread her wings. Through her company Yvonne Media International, (YMI), she works with different international media such as BBC Africa Eye where she is tasked with doing Investigative works and research. YMI also does media mobilization for local and international clients.

Mooka also served as national mentor (Botswana) for Women in News from 2018-2020.

She is a firm believer in Career Excellence. Her latest award was in 2019 when she won MISA Botswana Gender and Human Rights issues.

She is famously known for her women empowerment works in Botswana and Africa. Her belief is that ‘An empowered woman empowers nations.’

She is also a public speaker.
