Mr. Navaneeth, worked in Mindshare, Jakarta, Indonesia as leader of trading between March 2016 and May 2019 before coming back home to The Hindu Group as CEO from June 2019.  For him, this represents homecoming: he served this organisation between 1998 and 2006 in a senior position in Advertising and Marketing.

Rajeev Batra is a highly accomplished IT professional with over 32 years of global experience, currently the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Bennett & Coleman (The Times of India) in Delhi NCR, India.

Deepak is an Engineer and MBA from leading education institutes of India. He has over 30 years of rich and diverse experience in managing Operations, Strategy, and handling P&L responsibilities in large Multinationals and top Indian companies. He has worked in multiple sectors like Durable, FMCG, Beverages, Banking & Finance, Telecom and Media across India, and in Europe.

Mr. Roshan Kakkat, hailing from Cochin, Kerala, is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in economics, management, and media. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Calicut University and an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur, he has accumulated over 20 years of invaluable experience. His journey, starting as a Customer Support Officer at Air India and progressing through various roles at Emirates airline Dubai, culminated in his current position as the Chief Executive Officer at MediaOne TV.

Sannuta Raghu leads Scroll.in’s AI projects for news and journalism. Scroll’s AI Working Group is currently testing a URL-to-video tool (capable of output in English and Hindi) they’ve built over the last year, with funding from Google. They are also building two LLM-based research tools, which allow for natural language querying of Scroll’s award winning journalism as well as large datasets and documents from credible government sources. Scroll’s editorial team is also conducting experiments to test for accuracy on in-house style, summarisations, SEO, multi-language translations and bias detection.

Parankusha is a Tech Consultant and currently serves as the Director at EY India in its Government and Public Sector practice. He leads the enterprise architecture group, focusing on population-scale implementation projects and driving Generative AI adoption across central and state departments in India. Before EY, Parankusha founded an AI startup that provided solutions to Fintech, NBFCs, and the healthcare sector, specializing in facilitating easier consultations for hospitals, doctors, and patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nagaraj Nagabushanam is the Vice President – Data and analytics at The Hindu. Nagabushanam directs a data and insights group to build and implement data systems and pipelines for data-driven decision-making in the newsroom, product, business, and technology functions. Prior to this, he was a Director of Digital & Data at News Corp Technology Services,  where he headed the Digital and Data practices, this role involves scoping projects for transition, managing the transition, standing up the teams required, and scaling the teams at appropriate times. He also managed the teams from capabilities, talent, performance, rewards & recognition, and career growth standpoints. 

Mayura Shreyams Kumar, Director – Digital Business at the Mathrubhumi Printing & Publishing Company Limited. Mathrubhumi is a Media Conglomerate involved in the publishing of the Mathrubhumi Daily and 11 other periodicals, Mathrubhumi News TV Channel, Kappa, Club FM Radio, Mathrubhumi Online and Books Division. She is a graduate in Communication & Media, Literature & Psychology, from Christ University, Bangalore, and started her Professional Career in 2017.

Later in 2018, She was appointed to the post of Director- Digital Business shouldering the responsibilities of the holistic development of all the Digital Properties of the Mathrubhumi Group. In addition to that, Mayura takes care of Club FM, [ 6 stations around Kerala and a radio station in Dubai], Kappa & Mathrubhumi Books, publishing house, are the other verticals that she handles in Mathrubhumi.

Her hobbies include Photography, Music, and Travel.

Till recently at The Hindu, Prasad was meant to spearhead the group’s digital transformation and work with editorial and business team heads, overseeing content across all of their publications. Prasad had previously headed the newsroom at Outlook magazine between 2012 and 2016, where he was Editor-in-Chief.
Having started his career as a stringer for The New Indian Express, while still an engineering student, Prasad, a native of Mysore, previously worked with various regional and national news organizations. He has also lectured on various topics about Indian media at universities in both India and abroad.

Lakshmi Sivadas is a Programme Manager for the JournalismAI project at the London School of Economics and Political Science. At JournalismAI she manages the international journalism collaboration, the JournalismAI Fellowship programme, that brings together journalists and technologists from news organisations worldwide. Together they use AI to enhance journalism, its systems, and processes.

Aviral Mathur is an AI leader with over 15 years of experience, and currently heads the Data Science and Engineering team at HT Media. An ex-Boston Consulting Group consultant, he has significantly contributed to transforming media through AI innovations, including World’s first GenAI-based Newsbot at LiveMint, which dramatically increased engagement times.

Bal Krishna leads the Fact Check and Visual Investigation department at the India Today Group. Before switching to fact-checking, he was a broadcast journalist for over two decades, covering the Prime Minister’s Office, the Parliament, and national politics. He has reported for India Today and Aaj Tak from almost every Indian state and abroad.

Harsha Mathew is the Chief Resident Editor and Director at Malayala Manorama Company Ltd.

Prince leads the newsroom at The Morning Context as managing editor. A fascination with the written word has taken Prince to some of the leading newsrooms across the country, including The Economic Times, Dow Jones Newswires, Forbes India and Moneycontrol.

Pranav Dixit is an award-winning journalist with more than a decade of experience in two major media markets – the United States and India. Until recently, Pranav spent more than six years as the India-based technology correspondent for BuzzFeed News. Based in US since 2022, he spent a year at Harvard University as a Nieman Fellow.

Soumyadeep Mukherjee is the Co-Founder and Engineer at Dashtoon, a startup focused on making visual storytelling more accessible to creators and consumers. Before Dashtoon, he was the Associate Director of Product and Engineering at Udaan.com, a leading B2B e-commerce platform in India, where he led the infrastructure team to reduce cloud costs by 60% and implemented a hybrid cloud model.

Chitranshu is the Product and Revenue Director at Newslaundry. In the organisation’s 10-year journey to disrupt the news media ecosystem, he has led its growth from a few hundred subscribers to a community of more than 50,000 paying readers.
