Agnes Stenbom is the Head of IN/LAB, a joint venture between Schibsted and the Tinius Trust. IN/LAB (“Inclusion Lab) explores futures at the intersection of journalism, technology and democracy. Agnes is an Industrial PhD candidate in AI journalism at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
Ahmed Assar is the Reuters Video Editor for Asia and is based in Singapore. His journey with Reuters started in Cairo as a television producer in 1994 and has been responsible for covering everything from conflicts to peace talks to archaeological discoveries. During his time in the middle east he covered Turkey’s battle with the Kurds, the Balkans war, the Iraq war and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. A few months before the September 11, 2001 attacks, Ahmed moved to Dubai to establish Reuters Television’s first office in the Gulf region. Later in 2006, Ahmed moved to Singapore to head the Asia TV desk, and he also led the global TV team covering the Beijing Olympics. Ahmed became Asia Video Editor in 2014 and has since anchored several major stories across the region and beyond, including the disappearance and search of MH370, the Arab Spring in Egypt and Libya, the Trump-Kim Summits, the coronavirus pandemic and the Myanmar coup, to name a few.
