How will the EUDR affect printers and publishers?

The World Printers Forum will host a free webinar on 12 September about the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). This regulation becomes applicable from 30 December 2024 for sectors that import, manufacture or trade commodities and products in scope of the legislation.

Paper and printed products, including newspapers, are covered by the legislation. EUDR requires both newspaper printers and publishers within the EU and those delivering to the EU market to provide detailed information about the sourcing of their raw material and take due diligence measures.

In this webinar, Laetitia Reynaud, policy advisor from Intergraf will explain the issues, and what the European printing industry will need to do to comply with the new regulation. Reynaud also will share some insights on what the EUDR means for the newspaper industry and the obligations of printers and publishers both in and outside the EU.

This conversation will continue during the World Printers Summit in Vienna on 9 October with a roundtable discussion.
