This webinar will introduce participants to innovative storytelling strategies that harness the power of data visualisation and interactive applications to produce more engaging and effective public health reporting. Participants will learn how to use free online tools to create visualisation and interactive elements for digital publications.

We will also examine data sources on hepatitis B and C, HIV and TB in Asia, particularly from the Philippines, Indonesia, India and Pakistan.

Join the insightful breakout sessions with two leading experts on HIV and TB as we look beyond their expertise and to understand how journalists can help their readers distinguish and interpret scientific health data better.

Breakout Session 1                                                 

The role of diagnostics in eliminating the HIV pandemic by 2030 in Indonesia

This breakout session aims to provide participants an opportunity to have a dialogue with Dr. dr. Agnes R. Indrati, Clinical Pathologist, HIV/ Infectious Diseases Researcher to discuss and examine HIV prevalence in Indonesia and its ecosystem on diagnosis for HIV patients, including the existing national program on HIV disease awareness.

The session will be conducted in Bahasa Indonesian.  Non-Indonesian speaking participants are welcome to join breakout session 2 on Tuberculosis.


Breakout Session 2

Understanding Tuberculosis (TB) in India

This breakout session aims to provide participants an opportunity to have a dialogue session with Dr. Sanjay Sarin, Vice President, Access and Country programmes, FIND who was instrumental in establishing several key partnerships in India which resulted in the expansion of TB diagnostic capacity within the national TB programme and strengthened the TB lab partnership with USAID.
