MIGRATION

If you’ll be coming from abroad, please be advised that you must carry a valid passport to enter the country. (Some airlines might require that your passport has a validity of at least 6 months from the day you travel).

To facilitate your entry and exit from Colombia at immigration control, we recommend that you register the information related to your trip during the 72 hours prior to boarding your flight, both arrival and departure, in the form you can found here

We suggest that you bring with you, your hotel reservation and MLS 20234 registration, in case any Colombian border authorities request it.

Latin American countries that require a visa to visit Colombia:

  • Cuba
  • Haiti
  • Nicaragua

Find here other countries that require a visa to visit Colombia. Please consult your nearest Colombian consulate for more information.

On the Colombia Migration website you will find all the information on requirements that you must take into account for your trip to Colombia.

VACCINATIONS

Currently, there are no vaccinations required to enter the country. However, the Colombian authorities will require the yellow fever vaccine, if you are coming from Brazil and/or going to visit tourist sites such as the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta National Park, the Tayrona Park and the different reserves of the Amazon. Remember that this vaccine must be applied at least 10 days before travelling to these destinations.

All people travelling from Brazil must present an international yellow fever vaccination certificate.

WEATHER

During September 2024, Colombia will experience minimum temperatures of 12°C and maximum temperatures of up to 20°C. While it’s true that the weather will be pleasant, it’s recommended to have some warm clothing just in case.

We can expect between 3 to 8 days of rain during the month of September, which is why it is a good idea to always carry an umbrella so that the rain does not take us by surprise.
