The Newsroom Summit 2024 will be hosted by the Swiss publishing house Tamedia, part of the TX Group. Tamedia publishes several Swiss news media including the Tagesanzeiger, the Basler Zeitung and Tribune de Genève.
The Summit will take place in one of the most modern buildings in Zurich. The office building at the Stauffacher was designed by Japanese star architect Shigeru Ban and is made of wood and glass.

The seven-floor building was created with the goal of sustainability. A double façade facing the Sihl river acts as a climate buffer as well as a natural ventilation system and offers space for meeting rooms and lounges that can be opened up to the river.
Thanks to the use of wood as a renewable building material emissions were already minimised during the construction phase. kept to a minimum. The building is also operated CO2-free and does not use any energy created by nuclear power plants. A future-orientated heating and cooling using groundwater makes it possible to avoid using fossil fuels.
