She held leadership roles in the newsrooms of La Presse and Le Devoir in Canada, after beginning her career as a journalist. Her reporting has been published in France, Canada, and the United States.
She also collaborates with WAN-IFRA on AI and media issues, notably through articles and the organisation and programming of Study Tours in Silicon Valley.

Ezra Eeman is Strategy and Innovation Director at NPO, the Dutch Public Broadcaster, and leads the WAN-IFRA AI in Media initiative. He also serves as lead advisor to the 2024 JournalismAI Innovation Challenge. Ezra writes a weekly industry newsletter, Wayfinder, about media innovation and is the author of the annual “Wayfinder Trends Report”. Previously, he served as Change Director at the international media company Mediahuis, where he was responsible for coordinating newsroom transformations and digital acceleration across a wide range of cross-media brands. Before that, Ezra was the Head of Digital at the EBU, the European Broadcasting Union, and has held positions at VRT (the Flemish public broadcaster) and VTM (the Flemish commercial broadcaster) as innovation lab head and editor-in-chief, respectively.

Markus is the Chief Technology Officer at Ippen Digital and leads the companyâs Incubator Lab â a forward-looking innovation hub focused on reimagining publishing, digital platforms, and AI-driven design. With over 16 years of experience, Franz brings deep expertise in digital transformation, adaptive work environments, and the integration of human and artificial intelligence. A committed advocate of systems thinking, he approaches challenges holistically, drawing on cognitive and neuroscience insights to design technology solutions that align with how people think, learn, and collaborate. His work emphasises the synergy between technological advancement and human-centred design to drive sustainable innovation.

Karen RĂžnde is CEO of DPCMO. RĂžnde is a lawyer by training, policy fellow (digitalisation and technology) at Queen Mary’s Centre at the University of Copenhagen and appointed as judge in the Danish Court of Impeachment 2020-2026. RĂžnde is a former member of the Danish Parliament and has worked as a TV anchor and journalist on âDeadlineâ, a live news programme on the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), as policy director for Netflix in the Nordic region, as head of legal, public policy and sports at Viaplay and as an external advisor to publishers, CMOs, telcos, entertainment, sport and esports companies.

Lucky Gunasekara is the Co-Founder and CEO of Miso.ai, where he collaborates with category leaders to create high-performance search and discovery experiences. He started their career as an Intellectual Property Analyst at Dube Technologies in 2000, where he worked on R&D and patent analysis. In 2009, Lucky co-founded and served as the Managing Director of Medic Mobile, a technology startup focused on healthcare. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as the CIO at Metabiota, where they led the initial research and development for an epidemic surveillance system. Lucky then joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as an Advisor from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Cornell Tech as a Technologist in Residence, working on small data projects. Lucky also worked at Tapstack as a Senior UX Researcher and Designer from 2015 to 2016. Lucky served as a Senior Advisor, Product at Peterson Center on Healthcare from 2015 to 2017, where they contributed to developing an evidence-based model for primary care transformation.

Florent Daudens is the cofounder of Mizal AI. He’s a recognized voice on how AI is reshaping media, with expertise spanning technology, content, and leadership. He previously led AI and media innovation at Hugging Face, where he also fostered a global journalist community around open source. Before diving into tech, Florent spent many years as a journalist and newsroom leader: Managing Editor at Le Devoir, and later head of international, political, and newsgathering teams at CBC/Radio-Canada. Those years on the frontlines of journalism ground his work in the realities of reporting and running newsrooms under pressure. He has been featured as an expert in international publications, and is regularly invited to speak at industry events and lead workshops at universities including Columbia, Northwestern, LSE, Oxford, and CUNY.

Lars Adrian Giske is the Head of AI at the Norwegian newsroom iTromsÞ, one of five regional AI labs within Polaris Media. Giske led the development of Djinn (Data Journalism Interface for Newsgathering and Notifications), a groundbreaking AI solution for sourcing possible news stories in large amounts of public data. The project started in April 2023. Today, 38 newspapers across Norway use Djinn. Giske has a background in philosophy and a keen interest in the intersections where science, technology, and ideas meet. After more than ten years as a journalist, editor, product owner, and editorial developer, he is well-versed in investigative and data-driven journalism, as well as hands-on AI development and system design.

Chan began her professional journey after earning degrees in communications and business. She made her mark in the tech and media space early on, playing a key role at Pulse News, a news aggregator startup acquired by LinkedIn in 2013. At LinkedIn, Jessica Chan spent nearly nine years building and leading content partner programs, forging strategic relationships and major deals with leading publishers. Chan later moved to Meta, where she focused on brand and developer partnerships for messaging products. Joining Perplexity in September 2024, Jessica became the company’s first head of publisher partnerships, overseeing and expanding its innovative revenue-share program with news media organizations worldwide. As the sole leader running this program, she has signed top publishers like Time, Fortune, Los Angeles Times, Der Spiegel, and many more. Her work includes negotiating deals, building new business relationships, and ensuring publishers benefit from Perplexityâs AI-powered search engine platform through ad revenue, analytics, and API access

David is Head of AI at Ouest-France, where he leads the strategic planning, evaluation, and deployment of AI initiatives across all departments. He is responsible for training journalists on AI technologies and contributes to AI-related coverage, as he did during the global AI Summit in Paris, designing and conducting a special effort to help Ouest-France audience ask direct questions to top-tech leaders. Additionally, David oversees the editorial programming for Ouest-France AI Conference in Caen on October 9, 2025. Beyond Ouest-France, David is an adjunct lecturer at Sciences Po School of Journalism, co-creating the course “Journalism and AI,” and is a member of WAN-IFRA âAI in Mediaâ Advisory Board, led by Ezra Eeman.

Christian is CEO of Independent Media, including The Independent (globally) + BuzzFeed brands (UK+Ire). Ex-Editor in Chief of The Independent, he moved from MD to launch and scale TV and ECom services and is rapidly expanding the US business.

Tina Rogers is an accomplished leader in digital media transformation, currently serving as the Head of Delivery â Editorial AI & Automation at Better Collective, a leading global digital sports media group. At Better Collective, Tina heads efforts to integrate AI and automation across editorial functions, overseeing experimental initiatives that optimise content production, translation, and distribution for a worldwide network of sports sites. Her work leverages prompt engineering, multi-agent AI platforms, and automated content hubs to streamline workflows and boost business efficiency. With a background as a journalist, Tina Rogers has built a career in digital development and change management within the media industry. She has led digital development and change management initiatives in prominent media organisations and political institutions, including Bonnier Publications and Ekstra Bladet, where she served as Head of Transformation & Design and Head of Digital Transformation. She holds a degree in journalism and international relations from Roskilde University

Arnaud Aubron began his career in journalism at LibĂ©ration in 1998, where, over nearly a decade, he served as editor, deputy head of edition, head of department, and deputy editor-in-chief, often writing on topics such as drug policy. In 2007, he co-founded Rue89, an influential French news website, before moving to Les Inrockuptibles in editorial and executive roles. He later founded a consulting firm (Get Digital) and led digital development projects for Detroit Digital. From February 2014 to October 2021, Aubron served as President of the Executive Board and Director of Publication at Courrier international, a subsidiary of the Le Monde Group, where he was recognized for significantly increasing digital subscriptions. Since October 2021, he has held dual responsibilities as Business Development Officer at Le Monde and CEO of Le HuffPost, overseeing digitization, diversification, and business strategy across major online and print media platforms. He holds degrees from two prestigious institutions: Sciences-Po Paris (1996) and the Centre universitaire d’enseignement du journalisme (CUEJ) in Strasbourg

Martin Schori is the Deputy Managing editor and Associate Publisher of Aftonbladet. Currently, he is also the Program Lead for Aftonbladet’s newly established Artificial Intelligence Hub, a cross-functional group of seven employees working full-time to develop, explore, and implement AI solutions at Aftonbladet, as well as to educate the editorial staff in relevant AI tools.

Marie-BĂ©atrice Vinit is a French professional specialising in subscription and distribution management, currently Subscription and Distribution Manager at La Provence. Before joining La Provence, she gained more than ten years of experience in the retail sector, where she held senior positions at leading companies such as Carrefour (notably as Head of Nolim Book), L’OrĂ©al, and Leroy Merlin. She has distinguished herself in digital transformation and commercial project management, bringing recognised expertise in customer loyalty and innovation management. Since joining La Provence, Marie-BĂ©atrice Vinit has implemented innovative strategies to boost subscriptions and optimise the newspaper’s distribution, actively contributing to the growth and transformation of the Marseille-based press group. Marie-BĂ©atrice is a graduate of ESCP Europe (MiM, 2011).

David Buttle is the founder of DJB Strategies, a boutique consultancy working at the intersection of media, information services, and technology, established in early 2024 after more than fifteen years in senior roles across global media businesses. His consultancy integrates robust strategic analysis with practical execution, helping organisations succeed amid rapid changes driven by artificial intelligence and platform evolution. Davidâs most prominent leadership roles were at the Financial Times, where he served as Director of Public Affairs and Platform Strategy and previously as Global Commercial Marketing Director. At the FT, he shaped strategy around AI adoption, managed relationships with tech giants, and interfaced with governments on policy and legislative issues. Before joining the FT, David held senior marketing and communications positions at Pearson and worked in corporate communications and marketing for education and consulting organizations. David is a regular columnist for Press Gazette and contributor to The Drum, focusing on media, technology, platform regulation, and the implications of AI for publishers. His writing explores topics like AI-assisted content creation, digital regulation, and the economic future of publishing. David holds an MBA from Warwick Business School, and has served as a judge and board member for organizations such as the Independent Publishers Alliance, Incorporated Society of British Advertisers (ISBA), and UK Effie Awards. He is known for his public speaking engagements on media strategy, AI, and technological disruption within the publishing sector

Olle Zachrison is the Head of News AI (Senior News Editor, AI) at BBC News, where he leads initiatives to accelerate the responsible use of AI across newsrooms. The aim is to augment journalism and boost productivity for one of the worldâs largest and most recognised news organisations. Before joining BBC News, Olle spent nine years at Swedish Radio, the nationâs public broadcaster, where his roles ranged from Head of the National News Department to News Commissioner and Head of AI and News Strategy. His extensive editorial and digital experience includes guiding the transformation towards digital-first newsrooms. He worked as a business journalist and TV presenter before moving into management and innovation roles in Swedish media. In 2020, he co-founded the Nordic AI Journalism Network with Schibsted’s Agnes Stenbom, facilitating collaboration between journalists and technologists, and contributed as a co-author to the European Broadcasting Unionâs (EBU) notable AI reports including work on public service algorithm projects.

Joshua L. Freeman is Vice President of Business Development at Prorata.ai, where he works with content owners and creators to ensure they receive fair credit and sustainable compensation for their content in the era of generative AI. His career has spanned major roles at Samsung Next, where his team supported a portfolio of 250 companies grow in the areas of sales, business development, marketing & communications, and people operations, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, where he led the creation of Trellis, a digital platform for scientific collaboration, and was Chief Digital Officer of Science Magazine. With experience at Discovery Communications and AOL, he brings deep expertise in digital media and product development. Joshua holds Masters degrees from Harvard Business School and the Kennedy School of Government, and studied Russian Studies at Amherst College. He lives in Washington, D.C. and is fluent in Russian while learning Ukrainian.

Romain Damery is a seasoned marketing and technical SEO expert, currently serving as Senior Director of Technical SEO at Amsive, a leading data-driven performance marketing agency based in New York City. He has accumulated over 16 years of experience, combining client-side and agency-side roles that have shaped his detailed understanding of web performance, audience analytics, and search engine optimisation. Romain joined Amsive (formerly Path Interactive) at the end of 2013, serving first as Senior Strategist and Technical SEO Lead, before advancing to Senior Director, Technical SEO in January 2020.

Jessica Davis is an innovative journalist who has led and inspired teams to develop sustainable revenue models for news. From launching sites for an infant Patch in her early career to transforming 260 Gannett newsrooms with digital optimisation and the application of automation and artificial intelligence tools as a senior executive, Jessica is driven to apply emerging methods to carry the craft of journalism into the future.

Jane Barrett is the Head of Reuters AI strategy, leading the integration of AI into the newsroom and across the business to ensure a sustainable and innovative future for the news agency in an AI-enhanced age. She manages cross-functional teams to design, develop and deploy AI tools for the newsroom and in client-facing products. She also directs a change programme to build AI literacy, adoption and empowerment and sits on the AI governance committees of both Reuters and Thomson Reuters.

Violaine Degas is the Chief Digital Officer of Les Echos and the Theme-based division within the Les Echos Le Parisien Group (LVMH Media), which she joined in July 2021. She is responsible for digital audiences – whether anonymous, registered or subscribers – and for Product and Tech topics serving the user experience, digital subscriptions or digital advertising revenues for Les Echos, the brands in the Finance division (Investir, Boursier, Mieux Vivre Votre Argent, Capital Finance), as well as Connaissance des Arts, Radio Classique and Historia. Before that, she worked for CondĂ© Nast France for over five years as Deputy Managing Director in charge of digital and several years in digital and CRM agencies (Ogilvy, Rapp).

Sophie Cassam ChenaĂŻÂ is Chief Digital Officer at Le Parisien, where she has been leading the newspaperâs digital transformation for seven years. She has overseen a full technical redesign of Le Parisien, including the launch of a new CMS, revamping all digital products and developing new verticals (such as Jardin, Ătudiant, Jeux…) in collaboration with the newsroom. She has also expanded the digital brand to new formats â with video at the core of the strategy, alongside podcasts and newsletters â while driving growth in digital revenues through advertising, subscriptions, and diversification. Passionate about innovation, content, and user needs, she places AI at the centre of her teamsâ priorities to streamline workflows, support journalists, and design original solutions for readers.

Ingrid is Executive VP of data and AI and general manager for EMEA at Dow Jones.
Based in Barcelona, Ingrid oversees the overall data organization, leading a team of global researchers and analysts who are responsible for identifying, aligning and executing against critical data needs across Dow Jones. She owns the vision and cohesive strategy for data and AI across Dow Jones, driving deeper insights to inform business strategy, guide decision making and create more value for customers.

As Chief Product Officer at Prisa Media, Ana Ormaechea leads digital product development, artificial intelligence, audience strategy, and design for major brands across Spain, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico, including El PaĂs, AS, Cadena SER, Caracol, and WRadio. In her previous role as CDO at Prisa Radio she leads the Audio first product strategy for 30 brands in 4 different countries (Spain, Colombia, Chile and Mexico) with brands such as Cadena SER, los40, Caracol Radio, WRadio. An expert in Audio and Voice, she developed strategies to apply Artificial Intelligence to Voice and Audio with leading projects such as “Victoria, the voice of Soccer” (INMA Best Audio product of the year 2023) or Tailorcast (audio recommendation engine). In 2015, she founded Cuonda Podcast, the first independent podcast network in Spanish, awarded with a Google DNI Found and honoured with a Premio Ondas. In 2015, Ana received a Tow Knight Fellowship at CUNY.

Sam Ramachandra, CTO at Le Parisien, is an experienced IT leader with over 15 years of experience. Before joining Le Parisien in March 2022, she held key positions at Groupe La Centrale, Groupe CarBoat Media, Galeries Lafayette, and Bouygues Telecom.

Rémi Durand-Gasselin has served as Area Vice President for Southern Europe at Cloudflare since December 2024. Durand-Gasselin brings nearly two decades of experience in networking, SaaS, and cybersecurity, previously holding senior leadership roles at Cisco, where he drove service provider market growth and strategic enterprise partnerships across Southern Europe. Before joining Cloudflare, Rémi Durand-Gasselin also founded a consulting practice, RDG Impact, advising startups and investors in AI-driven risk management and digital innovation.

Olivia Joslin is the Co-founder and COO of TollBit, a tech platform that ensures websites are fairly compensated by AI agents that seek to access their content. Prior to founding TollBit, Olivia spent over 5 years working in automation and AI product management at Toast, Attentive, and most recently as the AI Product Director Fairmarkit – where she saw firsthand how AI’s success relied on the continued creation of quality content and data. While attending Wellesley College, she co-founded CliqBit, a company that leveraged tech and social platforms to provide quality Gen Z research and data. Nico Lozano is an accomplished data and martech specialist, currently serving as Data Strategy Director at Prisa Media. At Prisa Media since June 2022, Lozano directs the organisationâs data strategy, supporting editorial, commercial, marketing, and administrative operations. Before Prisa, he was Data & Martech Solution Consultant at Merkle EMEA, Head of New Capabilities, Innovation Tech Lead, and Data Collection Specialist at Merkle España (formerly Divisadero), where he led technical transformations and digital analytics projects for a diverse set of sectors including telecom, banking, and retail. Lozano is a telecommunications engineer from Universidad de Oviedo and also holds a Master in Operations and Quality Management from UNIR.
