Feb 21 – Develop an audience centered focus (1.5 hours)

Feb 25 – Canvas model Experiment (2 hours)

 

Mar 1 – Rapid prototype MVPs and USP (1.5 hours)

Mar 4 – Pitch video concept (2 hours)

 

This is training that delivers a defined result – a blueprint for a project that can be built and tested at low-cost.

 

Designed for editorial producers and digital teams, this workshop is built around a creative process that yields a business result. The capacity to innovate new concepts and to build and launch new solutions for customers in just a few days has become a necessity for every media outlet.

 These sessions are transformative experiences that lead participants to efficiently use design methods to innovate on deadline. The takeaways are real: You will develop a pitch, a prototype and a roadmap.

The instructor uses the Inverted classroom format to lead trainees through the theory and practical projects they will produce during this practical training.

Masterclass agenda:

  • Identifying challenges and opportunities
  • Drafting Problem Statements
  • The 10-step process for user-centered solutions
  • Establishing a Cross-functional team,
  • Define User personas, the customer journey, MVP features and metrics
  • Public powered journalism, Story selection. Audience alignment. New communities
  • Paper prototype – List resources, establish timeline to build a minimum viable product
  • Map inputs to a business model canvas or story canvas. 
  • Build a perfect pitch to get your proposal green-lighted

Level of Effort:

Participants will need to devote three hours each week to attend live classes and an additional three hours each week to complete the exercises and assignments.
