A Swedish lesson in embedded e-commerce: Reader loyalty and a new source of revenue at Sweden’s Dagens Nyheter

Traditional News Media and e-commerce seem far away from each other at first glance. However, this is no longer the case in today’s market. In fact, embedded commerce plays a more important role in revenue generation next to traditional advertising and affiliate links.

What is different about embedded e-commerce is that every touchpoint within the content of a publisher’s site can become an e-commerce interface. The key advantage is that instead of readers being redirected when they click on something interesting and having to go through transactional steps, they can buy directly from what they read. You see something you like in your editorial content, you buy it right there!

In this webinar, we will share with you the experience of one of Sweden’s largest news titles, Dagens Nyheter (a Bonnier Group property), and learn from Per Johnsson, Head of Partnerships at Dagens Nyheter, how they used embedded e-commerce to boost reader loyalty and generate a new source of revenue, maintaining their editorial integrity intact.

Together with Mikaela Jaconelli, Director of Client Success, at Tipser – an embedded e-commerce specialist on a mission to revolutionize the discovery and buying experience of products online – they will do a deep dive into the monetization curve and present valuable insights on what directly affects the transactional outcome.

Following the presentations, we will launch into a Q&A discussion with the audience. Make sure to register today!
