Aarti is the founder of before nine (www.beforenine.co.uk), a consultancy that helps organisations sustain optimal performance through a Positive Working approach that enables employee and employer to thrive during good times and periods of adversity, crisis and change.
Aarti previously held senior roles at Olive Group, Crisis Solutions and 4C Strategies, delivering advisory support to businesses and government agencies on operational risk and resilience.
Aarti is an accredited trainer for the Institute for Risk Management (IRM), leading on the delivery of all training associated with risk culture, risk leadership and risk-based decision making.
Having completed her PhD at the University of Cambridge over ten years ago, Aarti was awarded a PGDip in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology from UEL in 2019 and is an EMCC-accredited coach.

With a career spanning three decades, Uwe Bartmann brings unparalleled expertise in paper procurement and logistics to the stage. As Executive Professional at the Schwarz Group, he is responsible for the paper supply of Lidl and Kaufland’s iconic weekly flyers. His deep understanding of global paper markets is instrumental in navigating the complex sourcing requirements for one of the world’s largest retail organizations.

Dr. Hauke Berndt is CEO and shareholder of ppi Media GmbH and responsible for the company’s Newspaper Production business. He joined ppi Media in 2002 and has been a member of the management board since 2016, playing a key role in the development and delivery of software solutions for leading publishing houses worldwide. ppi Media’s customers include renowned publishers across Europe, India and the United States, ranging from Toronto Star and Rheinische Post Mediengruppe to Times of India.
He focuses on advancing workflow automation and end-to-end production efficiency, helping publishers and printers reduce operational inefficiencies, streamline processes, and improve margins across the print supply chain.

Dr Martin Bethke is a management consultant specialising in corporate strategy, organisational development and leadership culture. He has worked in senior positions for 20 years, including at National Geographic, Ravensburger, Red Bull Media House and the WWF. He is the founder and managing director of Butterfly Effect Consulting GmbH in Hamburg.

Christian Bredlow is the founder and head of Digital Mindset GmbH, a member of the Digital Council of Lower Saxony, a business angel, a podcaster at WUNSCHWORT.FM – and a father of twins.
Over the past three years, he has not only talked about transformation, but has lived it himself: In addition to the stage, his company and podcast, he has returned as the musician dasB – with his own music available on all popular streaming platforms.
Christian combines digitalisation, leadership and culture with a perspective that comes not from PowerPoint, but from real-world experience.

Olaf Deconinck is a graduate engineer in print and media technology and a senior consultant focusing on guiding the media, publishing and paper industries through the transition towards sustainability. He combines many years of leadership experience in production, procurement and process management with systemic coaching and his teaching activities as a lecturer at the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences (HTWK Leipzig) . In his projects, he develops strategies that consider climate impact – measured in degrees Celsius – and profitability together, thereby laying the foundation for future-proof business models.

Iacob is a Senior Policy Manager at News Media Europe, where he is responsible for advocacy efforts related to media, competition and digital regulation. His work focuses on ensuring that European regulation and policy initiatives support the development of a vibrant, sustainable and inclusive media sector.
Prior to joining the association, he worked as a public affairs affairs consultant and in the public sector at the European Commission. Iacob holds two masters degrees, one in International Management and another in Latin American Studies.

Lindley Gooden is a factual film director, journalist, and entrepreneur with over 30 years in broadcasting and media production. He works to combat mis- and disinformation and is the author of The Future of Truth (and How to Get There), a book developing methodologies from psychology, neuroscience, and storytelling to navigate the modern information landscape.
Lindley is the Founder of Greenscreen, a multi-award winning communications company launched in 2005, and worked as a Senior BBC Journalist and correspondent for ITN, Sky News, and Five News, interviewing key figures and covering major stories across multiple platforms. He also moderates events on topics including AI, financial services and business innovation. With postgraduate qualifications across multiple disciplines and training in theoretical physics before moving into journalism, he bridges technical, media, and human perspectives in addressing how we establish and communicate truth in the digital age.

Peter Hasulyó is a licensed forest engineer and founder of ForestryBrief, Europe’s premier forestry intelligence service. With 25 years of experience in translation and interpretation across English, German, and Hungarian, plus six years as a full-time journalist, he bridges the gap between technical forestry expertise and business intelligence. His twice-weekly European Forestry Pulse newsletter serves forest professionals across the continent and beyond with verified market analysis and regulatory insights.

Ulbe Jelluma is a former strategy leader and agency Managing Director, with experience in global agency networks including Ogilvy, TBWA and BBDO. He is an Effie Award winner and a jury member for the Euro Effies. He is now Print Media Ambassador for Print Power Europe, an initiative promoting the use of print media among brands and agencies across key European markets.

Matt Lindsay, Ph.D., is President and CEO of Mather and a leading voice in the news media industry. For more than two decades, he has partnered with over 700 media brands worldwide, helping them align data, strategy, and technology to drive revenue growth, improve profitability, and build more sustainable business models across print, digital, and emerging revenue streams.
Matt is the author of The Relationship Economy, which examines how analytics and customer relationships create long-term business value. Outside of work, he enjoys sailing with his family and cheering on the University of Georgia Bulldogs.


Adam is VP Reports at Smithers, the worldwide authority for the printing, paper and packaging industries, with overall responsibility for its market reports business. Adam has over 20 years’ experience in project management, directing market research and working with clients to deliver high-value strategic studies and analysis. During his time at Smithers he has published hundreds of market studies, reports, technical books and single-client projects across a range of industries including printing, paper and packaging, and has delivered many insightful presentations at conferences and events around the world. Adam has a global network of experts, consultants and researchers who contribute to hundreds of primary research-based projects every year, and he is a member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals.


Jonathan is Managing Director for the global Two Sides campaign, including the Love Paper initiative, which promotes the sustainability of print, paper and paper packaging through Europe, North and South America, South Africa and Australia & New Zealand. He also runs a Carbon consultancy and the successful Carbon Balanced Paper programme for conservation charity World Land Trust.
He has spent the last 40 years working in the industry – paper merchants, paper manufacturers and printers – and lead a UK government funded programme on sustainable procurement for print and paper.
