Dick is the CEO/Owner of Rodi Group. A company founded by his father in 1978. The company consists of a publishing company, printing house and distribution company. The company is located all throughout the Netherlands. Dick is 38 years old and has been the CEO for several years now.

Vincent Peyrègne

CEO, WAN-IFRA, France

Peyrègne took up duties as Chief Executive Officer of the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) on 1 October 2012. Prior to joining WAN-IFRA, since the end of 2008 he worked in the office of the French minister of Culture and Communication where he was responsible for newspapers and new media as well as the “états généraux de la presse écrite,” the French government’s response to the economic difficulties facing the newspaper industry. From 2004 to 2008 he was head of development at Edipresse Publications SA in Lausanne, with responsibility for reader studies and marketing research.

Gundula Ullah

Chief Procurement & Sustainability Officer, Funke Mediengruppe, Germany

Gundula Ullah has been leading the Procurement function at FUNKE Mediengruppe, one of Germany’s largest media companies, since April 2019. She is steadily driving forward the transformation of the entire purchasing organization, which covers the needs of all business units (newspaper, magazines, digital, radio).

Andreas Gierth

Managing Director Medienservice and Head of Production, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Germany

Andreas studied Printing and Media Technology at Munich University of Applied Sciences, Germany. After graduation, he joined Frankfurter Societäts-Druckerei GmbH 1997 as a trainee and later promoted as an Associate in 1999. In 2001, Andreas moved to Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung GmbH and performed various management tasks within the production department.

Dean Roper

Director of Insights & Editor-in-Chief, WAN-IFRA, Germany

Dean is Director of Insights and Editor-in-Chief of WAN-IFRA, he is responsible for coordinating all activities related to the organisation’s array of multimedia publications. He has more than 25 years’ experience working in the news publishing industry, much of that time spent researching, analysing, identifying and ultimately reporting about global media developments.

Dr. Klemens Berktold

Managing Director of Print Operations, Funke Mediengruppe, Germany

Dr. Klemens Berktold has been Managing Director for the printing business at Funke Mediengruppe since 2011. In this function, he is responsible, among other things, for Funke’s own newspaper printing plants in Hagen and Braunschweig as well as the outsourcing of printing services.

In recent years, Dr. Berktold has also been intensively involved in the topics of “digital transformation print” and the development of new business models related to the print business. For example, the print division has been operating e-commerce platforms for the production and distribution of newspapers with a circulation of 1 or more since 2017 (www.zeitungsdruck-online.de, www.smartpaper24.com).

Before joining Funke Mediengruppe, Dr. Klemens Berktold held positions as managing director of various printing and prepress operations at Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA as well as in the field of strategic management consulting.

Laetitia Reynaud

Laetitia Reynaud

Laetitia is Policy Advisor on economic and environmental issues at the European Federation for Print and Digital Communication (Intergraf), which represents the interests of the European graphic industry in Brussels.

Laetitia is French and holds a university degree in economics and a master degree in European economics.

Before joining Intergraf in 2012, she held for 10 years a similar position at the European federation of waste management and environmental services (FEAD), where she dealt with numerous environmental topics.

Paul Huybrechts, born 1960 in Belgium. He has a masters degree in metallurgical engineering. Paul has more than 20 years experience as production manager, plant manager and business unit manager working for an international company specialized in materials technology, working globally (activities in China, Australia, Malaysia, Norway, France, Belgium , UK and The Netherlands). Since 2007 he has worked in the news media industry as managing director of Printing Partners (belonging to Mediahuis -group ) responsible for print and distribution in Belgium, the Netherlands and Ireland.

Mr. Garrido is the Managing Director at Corporacion Bermont, located in Madrid. Spain’s leading Newspaper Contract Printing Company with 7 printing plants across mainland Spain, Balearic Islands and Canary Islands. He is educated as an Economist. Currently he is the chairman of the World Printers Forum Board (WPF) at WAN-IFRA and Board member of the manroland Users Group (MRUG). Previously he worked for KPMG and El Economista magazine.

Dr. Michael Tillian

Managing Director, Mediaprint, Austria

Dr. Michael Tillian is at present managing director of Austria’s leading publishing house „MediaPrint“ as well as the „Krone Verlag“, editing „Kronen Zeitung“, Austria’s most read daily newspaper. Before joining MediaPrint he was CEO of „Freie Presse Mediengruppe“ in Saxony/Germany. For the last 20 years Dr. Tillian worked as an entrepreneur, lawyer, consultant and managing director for prestigious media groups in Austria and Germany. He has played a central role in the digitalization and restructuring of publishing houses and has broad experience in M&A, investment management and business development.

Josef Schiessl is the managing director of the Süddeutsche Zeitung printing plant in Munich. In addition to the Süddeutsche Zeitung, this factory also produces several of Germany’s national daily newspapers, including the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Handelsblatt, Die Welt and various editions of BILD. As the industry changes, enormous efforts are being made to increase efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining a very high level of quality.

Atte has been with UPM since 2000, driven by a deep passion for graphic paper – a versatile medium that holds immense value in today’s society. Ingi Rafn Olafsson

Ingi studied Newspaper  Operations management at RIT in Rochester and later did an MBA in Edinburgh, Scotland. His contact with WAN-IFRA started in 1997 already when he was still a student measuring samples for the Color Quality Club. Ingi is a native of  Iceland. He started his career as the  ad-production director for Morgunbladid Newspaper in Iceland. In recent years he chaired the continuing education of graphic media employees in Iceland. In Ingi´s tenure at WAN-IFRA the new Printers Summits have been devoloped and established.
