Haaris Maaten is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. He works in the fields of climate economics, asset pricing, public finance, political economy. He completed his PhD in economics at Columbia University in 2023.  He also holds a bachelor’s in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
