Dr. Tan Kuan Pern is the Head of Data Science at SPH Media, Singapore’s leading media group. He leads the data science and machine learning operation team to drive, coordinate and deliver AI/ML projects across the organization. The focus areas of his data science team are content creation, reader profiling and personalised content recommendation. He has expertise in enhancing products and internal workflows using machine learning techniques, including predictive analytics, and natural language processing and generative AI. Dr. Tan has more than 10 years of experience in data science, spanning academic research, telco, healthcare and media industries.
