As a media professional, Gert Ysebaert, has spent his entire life working in the media industry, combining his passion with a professional career. After obtaining his master’s degree in Communication and completing it with an Executive MBA, Gert held various management positions, mainly within the Corelio publishing group.

When Corelio and Concentra joined forces in 2013 to form the new company Mediahuis, Gert Ysebaert was appointed CEO. Over the past years he has led the Mediahuis organization on its path to further digital growth of its services and brands. Under his leadership and with the acquisition of i.a. NRC Media, Telegraaf Media Groep, Independent News & Media, Saint-Paul Luxembourg and Medienhaus Aachen, Mediahuis evolved into a leading European multimedia company with more than 4.500 employees, a turn over of 1.200 MIO EUR and reaching every day + 10 MIO people in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ireland and Germany.
