Chris Janz has worked in media for 25 years with roles spanning mature and growth business and advertising and subscription-funded products.

Most recently, he led Nine’s digital and publishing business including The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and The Australian Financial Review.  There he turned around Australia’s oldest but most commercially challenged mastheads from a reliance on declining revenues to true digital leadership, unlocking AUD 1.5 billion in enterprise value.

He played a key role in Australia’s digital platforms legislation, delivering world-leading agreements with Google and Meta, while also taking the Fairfax Media business through the country’s most significant cross-platform media merger.

He has a keen intersection in product-led growth and presently advises media organisations around the world.
