Christian Siebert is the Managing Director FUNKE Medien Hamburg. That role includes being the publisher of the Hamburger Abendblatt, Bergedorfer Zeitung, Hamburger Wochenblatt, Elbe Wochenblatt, Hamburger Klönschnack. Christian embarked on his career at Bauer Media, where he held various leadership roles in magazine publishing across Germany, Eastern Europe, and Asia. He served as publisher for Bertelsmann’s rtv and the Country Manager for ZINIO before acquiring stakes in a content marketing agency specialising in owned media services. Following a successful exit Christian joined FUNKE as the founding Managing Director of FUNKE One, the company’s new business and innovation unit. He subsequently assumed responsibility for the group’s regional news operations in the Hamburg area.
