Jonathan’s career in Singapore’s leading media company spans over 15 years, taking him from news producer to leading the organisation’s first online video platform, SPH RazorTV and is currently the Deputy Editor of Newsroom Strategy for The Straits Times, SPH Media’s flagship publication. Prior to SPH, he was with BBC Asia Bureau, producing breaking news, business content and live disaster coverage.

Trained in broadcast and multimedia journalism, Jonathan has always placed the emphasis on an audience-first ethos. His natural evolution to specialise in digital content and marketing communications puts him at the forefront of today where the boundaries between technology and communication have merged. He believes in actionable insights through data analytics. This sets the direction for today’s newsroom storytellers and content creators, not only to understand the audience’s appetite but also to position content for maximum impact. Jonathan’s proven track record includes leading his teams to achieve SPH’s first YouTube Play Button and an international W3 gold award in 2014 for best documentary.
