Emilio Basavilbaso is Chief Operating Officer (COO) in Clarin. He is responsible for the digital transformation of the company, which is crucial given the drop in paper sales. During the last year Clarin reached 600,000 digital subscribers placed 10 amongst the publications with the largest number of readers.

He is the former Executive Director of Argentina’s National Social Security Agency (ANSES) and Head of the City of Buenos Aires’ Housing Institute (IVC, Instituto de Vivienda de la Ciudad) with experience of 12 and 14 years in the public and private sector, respectively.

In 2020 he launched the book ¨The Battle for Social Investment¨.
