Jane is the Deputy Executive Director for WAN-IFRA Women in News, where she oversees operations and serves as the Lead for the Global Leadership Accelerator and Alums. In this role, she is responsible for devising strategy and operationalizing implementation for all Accelerator and Alum activities globally, including day-to-day programme operations, budget management, and calendar oversight.

A seasoned journalist, editor, career coach, and trainer, Jane is the former Deputy Managing Editor for The Standard Group in Kenya. She previously served as the Director for the Africa Region and Capacity Building Manager for WAN-IFRA WIN Africa, as well as Project Manager for East and Central Africa and Coach for Kenya.

Jane has also served as Head of Editorial at African Woman and Child Features Service, a women’s rights organization, and acted as Managing Director at the African Gender and Media Initiative Trust.

She holds a Master’s degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Gender and Development from the University of Nairobi. Jane also sits on various boards and committees.
