Joseph Hook is the founder of Subbed News, a news automation consultancy. He was previously the editor of the RADAR local news service, part of PA Media, the UK and Ireland’s national newswire. While there, he led a small editorial team in the production of thousands of AI-driven stories every week.

He is now helping organisations to develop their capabilities in automated news, and the integration of AI into the newsroom, as well as using AI technologies to build products which deliver news to new audiences in increasingly personalised ways. His background is in data analysis and local and national news, and he has developed automated products in international markets, across news, sports and finance.
