Martin Fröhlich

Director of the Digital Revenue Network at WAN-IFRA

Martin Fröhlich leads the Digital Revenue Network at WAN-IFRA. He joined WAN-IFRA in the summer of 2022 after 25 years in the news media industry. His team organizes events like Digital Media Europe, the Newsroom Summit, Digital Media Africa, supports the Paris Forum and hosts the Table Stakes Europe program. They also coordinate initiatives like AI Unlocked and Innovate Local.

Martin was Deputy Head of Newsroom at Redaktionsgemeinschaft ostwestfälisch-lippischer Verlage and worked at the Neue Westfälische publishing house in Bielefeld for 15 years. During his career he worked as a reporter, editor, media coach, head of department, project manager, moderator and technical adviser. In the last decade, his focus lay on the digital transformation of editorial processes, products, management and writing. He led several projects in this field and knows about the challenge of transforming thinking and doing that have been dominated by the print channel for a long time. Fröhlich started his career at a small local newspaper and joined a much bigger company later. At WAN-IFRA, he is also a Table Stakes coach.
